Attaining suffrage was a long and difficult fight, and afterward apparently everyone wanted to relax (well, no, because there were also a host of social changes in the immediate post-war period that would have distracted saints, plus race riots, fads, the baseball scandal, and movies; the other feminist goals got lost in the noise.
